The BH Journalists Association in cooperation with Medicus Mundi Mediterania from Barcelona is organizing a webinar on “Reporting on gender-based violence” which will be held from 5 to 7 May 2020.
The aim of the webinar is to improve the knowledge of journalists, editors, students and bloggers in the field of gender sensitive reporting and gender-based violence, and publishing journalistic stories, which will be based on promoting the rights and interests of victims by contextualizing gender-based violence issues.
Media employees will have the opportunity to get acquainted with ethical standards, regulations, professional postulates when reporting on sensitive topics, but also to practically work on the prepared materials.
The webinar will be led by prof. dr. Lejla Turčilo and prof. Dr. Belma Buljubašić from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo, and Lea Čengić, Head of the Department for Content and Media Literacy at the Communications Regulatory Agency of BiH.
The webinar will take place on May 5 starting at 12:00, and on May 6 and 7 starting at 10:00.
